David Afkham returns to the Seattle Symphony Orchestra for a program of visionary French and Hungarian composers, featuring Olivier Messiaen’s Les offrandes oubliées, Lili Boulanger’s D’un soir triste, and Claude Debussy’s impressionistic masterpiece, La mer. Violist Tabea Zimmermann joins Maestro Afkham and the symphony for its first performance of Béla Bartók’s folk-inspired Viola Concerto. Performances run November 7, 8, and 9, 2024.
