David Afkham leads the Gustav Mahler Jungendorchester in European Tour

David Afkham once again leads the Gustav Mahler Jungendorchester (GMJO) in an extensive Easter Tour. David held the position of Assistant Conductor of the GMJO for three years and stepped in at short notice to conduct the Easter Tour in 2012. It is with great pleasure that he returns to the orchestra this week for the start of their latest tour where he will conduct a total of 9 concerts in 5 cities. The programmes feature works by Richard Strauss, Berg and Wagner alongside two pillars of the Romantic symphonic repertoire: Bruckner’s seventh Symphony and Mahler’s fourth, featuring soprano Christiane Karg.
